First, I wanted to say I love the show and have been listening to you guys chat about gun stuff since 2019. I finally thought of a question to ask the cast that I felt was worthy of a discussion.

I am a Com-block country collector with the sks rifle being one of my favorite rifles to collect. I appreciate all of its different country manufactures and Chinese commercial variants that have come into the US market over the last few decades. With that said , I would love to eventually add a Chinese Type 81 rifle to the collection. The Type 81 is a sks / Ak hybrid that has been in production since the mid 80’s. The Type 81s is an early semi-automatic only model made for the US civilian market, but sadly only 20 rifles were imported to the US before the Clinton Ban. The last one I saw that was for sale was asking $24K on Gunbroker (it did not sell). Jump to 2017 when Canada got the type 81s approved for sale on their market, because it is not an AK action, which is banned in Canada. My question is: now that the type 81 is floating around in Canada, and with their possible ban on all rifles, what do you think the chances are that type 81 parts kits from Canada will be sold in the US market? I would also your opinion about why the US market has not yet received parts kits from China or other counties that possess these rifles. Do you think there a reason why no US company has wanted to make a receiver for the type 81? I think there would be a market for these rifles in the US, as people frequently post pictures of their type 81s rifles in Canada on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). I have read about the 10-year law that indicates if firearms are stored in a country for more than 10 years, they are considered that country’s firearm, regardless of where they were made. Do you think this could this be an option for the type 81s that survive in Canada until 2027 and be exported to the US as whole rifles?

Top range day events open to non industry people. You talk up how cool trigger con is but it has no public range day. You get to enjoy shooting all the guns but the rest don’t. Maybe it should be done at a complex more suited to range day. I get it im a poor and have to just trust you but the people who get invited to range days are the same people who get free guns.

I’m assuming this question will be read on or around June 53rd, 2059. I was wondering what optic I should put on my Brownells BRN M41A pulse rifle?

Wish they made a flat top version. It would be much easier.

Also, I have a phased plasma rifle in the 30 watt range. I know the AFT banned the import of the 40watt version but I’d love to know how to increase my wattage legally.

Lastly, my father gifted me his Morita assault rifle from the service. I want to shoot it with modern ammunition but I’m not sure the condition of the gun. It looks well used. My dad won’t talk much about it. He spends he’s remaining days burning bugs with a magnifying glass in the driveway.

Anyway, love the show. I’m sorry that Aaron died in the tragic Waffle House fight of ‘58 and congrats to Nick on his ass replacement surgery.

P.S. I finally saw a Keltec RDB at my LGS

My grandpa was on the waiting list but died before he could finally own one.

Aaron – I recall your goal for 2022 was to do the tactical games. I must have missed the episode where you talked about your experience – do you recall the episode number? If perhaps you didn’t make it I, was also a loser who thought about it and failed. If you are still thinking about it and want a partner, reach out and we can procrastinate together.. or who knows, maybe we can actually do it and you would have something interesting to talk about?

Hey guys,

I have 2 questions that are based on a 350 Legend upper that I just put together for hunting. I used a 16″ Faxon Gunner barrel with a carbine length gas system. I have not tested it yet.

1) Do I need to do anything related to gunsmithing to make the 350 legend run properly.

2) I want to use the rifle length Magpul Fixed Stock. (Replacement for the A2)

Will the 350 run on a rifle length buffer system? Do anyone make a conversion? Or should I just use a standard carbine lower?

Thanks for the podcast. Its got me through some tough times.
