John Nicetryfedboi: Just picked up another AR15 lower I’m planning on building into an SBR with a law tactical folder. This will be a suppressed rig running a dead air nomad 30 with a keymo adapter. What barrel length to you recommend? I already have a pinned 14.5 for longer distances. I’d like this new build to be more cqb distances and something my 5′-4″ wife can run if the big freeze happens.

Chris K: Is there a way to completely eliminate port pop on a suppressed AR15? If not what are the ways to reduce it as much as possible? I would love to use my suppressors on my AR’s for coyote hunting, but I just can’t stand the port pop…it gives me an instant headache. Rob P: Is a forward assist necessary on an AR? Have you ever run into a situation where you needed it or where it was useful?

Jack B: At the NRA show I ran into a guy selling suppressors who had an interesting theory. I don’t remember who the company was, only that I’d never heard of them and they had Texas in the name. He opined that we did not want them to repeal the NFA or remove silencers from the NFA because if that happened, silencers would be banned the next day. He says their inclusion on the NFA gives them the same protections as firearms.

I call BS on that for a couple of reasons. First, it’s the right to keep and bear arms, not firearms. Bullet proof vests, ammunition, knives, and even suppressors are all armaments just like a gun and therefore protected. Second, even if it’s not considered an armament, where’s the authority for the fedbois to regulate them? The 10th amendment says anything not specifically mentioned in the constitution is none of their fucking business.

Andy D: I recently bought a used truck, and it has a big steel safe that runs underneath the rear seats of the vehicle.

I’m looking to keep an AR pistol chambered in 55.6 locked up in the safe. My two questions are what barrel length should I go, 11.5 or 12.5? Its seems like the new fad in barrel length keeps changing and I wanted to know your guy’s thoughts. I can only legally carry an AR- pistol due to my laws, so it cannot be a rifle.

My second question is I live in Illinois (not Chicago) and it gets very humid during the summer. What are some ways to keep it from rusting? Rattle can the outside? Oil everything? This firearm would stay permanently inside of the truck. Desiccant link
