I am planning on building an 8.6 Blackout bolt gun and my question is how would you guys go about building one? Faxon Firearms is making barrels for AR10s and Remington 700 action rifles. From what I’ve seen, it seems to be a 6.5 Creedmoor action/ bolt face with cases trimmed and necked up to a .338 projectile. Should I just buy a cheap Remington 700 in 6.5CM and take the action, replace the barrel and drop it into the chassis of my choice (I’m looking at the Black Collar Arms Pork Sword chassis with a folding stock, thoughts?). So Jeremy doesn’t have an aneurism, the use case is for a light weight western big game hunting rig and range use. I plan on getting a Faxon 12 inch barrel and pin/welding a Bowers Group Vers 375 for overall length ~21 inches. Do you have any recommendations for a stand alone REM700 actions or would it be easier to a Rem700 6.5CM and modifying?

When using a rifle length buffer system on an ar, should the buffer tube be torqued? If it does, should it be to the same specs and a carbine buffer tube? Also would recommend Any loctite or aero shell grease?

I have a suggestion for Aaron. I love the new family fudd game, but I think you should kick it up a notch by figuring out a way to get answers from retarded listeners instead of 100 random actual water-heads. Maybe you could do it in a private mewe group that the rest of the cast can’t see.

That way instead of lame answers to questions like   Who uses a gun   (the last one I heard before writing this), you’d get great answers like   Free men  ,   The fish in the lake where I had my boating accident  ,   Tyrannical government thugs against peaceful protestors  , or   Am I being detained?  

You could also ask better questions that other place would never dare ask, like   Who should die?   and get answers such as   Commies  ,   Politicians  ,   Pedophiles  , or   Am I being Detained?   Wait, commies, pedophiles, and politicians are all the same answer. I can’t think of a #2 option for that one. But you get the point.

Shawn, I was listening to an old Brownells  Gunsmith Kinks  podcast in which you were a special guest. You were talking about you progression and beginnings of F.R.N. You had mentioned you initially wanted to just write articles under a pen name and not be on a podcast. What was that pen name, and are there any articles out there that nobody knows it’s actually you as the author?
