I’ve recently stepped into the world of suppressors. I have a 13.7” .223 Wylde with an adjustable gas block. With a carbine spring/buffer my rifle is cycling fine and has good ejection patterns for both suppressed and unsuppressed. But I read online a heavier buffer and more gas is better, does it really matter? I had ordered a Sprinco Blue and an H2 buffer to make the switch, now I’m wondering if I need it. Thanks, love the show.

Hey Guys, I am having some serious paralysis by analysis. The only guns I have interest in suppressing are my 10.5″ and 16″ AR’s. I am not looking for the most quiet can in the world, just a meaningful about of signature reduction at an affordable price. Signature, as in decreasing of the rifle’s report AND flash suppression. The can will live on my “fighting” 16 inch rifle, and I’ll swap it over to the 10.5 gun for range trips. Both are DI guns in 5.56, any advice on where to start would be great. Bonus points if you discuss if its necessary to “tune” the AR’s for use with the can.
