Dear WLS
- Brent T – Hi. Illinois has now allowed straight-walled cartridges for deer hunting. My son and I are debating on a 350 ledgend or a 450 Bushmaster. It does have to be single shot. A removable mag is acceptable. We won’t be shooting much more than 200 yards. Just want your thoughts on these two rounds and suggestions on rifles. I’m not a poor but not rich.
- DukeOfCrude – Hey fam,I’d like to have your input on something. There is a Vietnam-era amphibious 8×8 (LTV Aerospace Kidd) that’s for sale down the road, and I’ve been thinking about selling some guns to go make an offer on it. (The old lady is a widow and won’t take trade)The question is, would you go sell some non-essential guns (range toys) for something non-gun related? My kids are 5 and 3, and I want to raise them around guns and shooting. Between my Dad and I, we have guns so that everyone has- 1. 22 rifle 2. 22 pistol 3. A intermediate caliber hunting rifle 4. Waterfowl shotgun 5. Upland bird shotgun 6. CcW Semi-auto pistol 7. A rifle the goverment would frown upon 8. A PCC 9. An heirloom pieceThe ones I would sell would come from outside of this list, but includes some fun range toys that I probably won’t be able to find again. Do any of you have regrets from selling guns, or do you think this is a good idea in that it’s a different hobby I can enjoy with my kids while they are little? I’d probably take it trail riding, camping, and hunting mostly. Appreciate your thoughts and thanks for the great content!Duke
- Kyle B – Where do you guys get your medical supplies i.e., amoxicillin and other Rx-style medications? Thank you.
- Mike B – Why Rost Martin? I think I missed your usual explanation about why you chose to work with them. Just curious what makes them stand out if you’re partnering with them?
- Denny E – I’ve been doing Jiu Jitsu for about 6 months now, and I have become a deadly weapon. Don’t believe me? Ask the 13 year old I beat up today. Which brings me to my question. Does Second Call Defense cover these hands?
- Huggmuffin Actual – Dearest Esteemed Gentlemen-Range Safety Officers are a critical part of any public shooting range, especially when new shooters are involved. What are some of the best and worst traits you’ve seen an RSO exhibit?Hugs, HugMuffin *** NO NOTES ***”
- Robert S – Hi guys I love the podcast. Just wondering what your thoughts on best red dot for a Glock 43x. I want one where the battery is not on the bottom. Thanks for the input.
