Dear WLS
- John M – Gentlemen, Who do you recommend to port a barrel and a slide? I don’t want to add a Ramjet to my gun because of the extra length (plus i already have one on my G45). I like the idea of the Glock 19c, but its a Gen 3 and no optic cut. What is your opinion on this? Thanks!
- Hunter D – What closed emitter sight would you guys put on a Springfield prodigy 4.25” ? If this gun continues to pass my testing I’d like to use it in my EDC rotation. I’m open to options and not stuck on any brand. Budget is not a big concern but I’d say under $750 for sure and that should get me a lot of options. Hell I’m even open to open emitter but really want to try a closed emitter for this gun. Thank you in advance for any insight you guys can provide. #aaronisacunt #jeremyisNOTacunt #WLSISLIFE
- Aiden S – I don’t know if I’ve ever heard y’all directly answer this question. It’s been talked about indirectly, but I don’t think it’s ever been posed to you like thisWhen should a gun owner lose their gun rights—if ever? Should it be only while they’re serving a sentence? Does that include everything from jail time to community service, or even while they’re still paying off a fine? Or should their rights remain suspended beyond that period? And should it matter whether the offense was violent or non-violent when they’re released from prison or done serving their sentence?
- A-in-your-face S – Last year I picked up a Desert Eagle. I bought it on a whim, because it was an awesome price. And damn, if it isnt hella fun to shoot. I would like to try and pig hunt with it. What optic, red dot, prism, etc. would yall recommend? I plan to the typical barrel rail mount. #NoNotes
- Jimmy Jimmy – Hey guys, I’m following up on a prior question about an extractor issue on an AR10 (episode 402, timestamp 1440-2122). I appreciate most of your suggestions and have the following results -contact the manufacturer *Unfortunately, this is not an option. I bought the BCG a while back but only recently tested it. Lesson learned. -check extractor spring & o-rings *All are present and appear identical. -check headspace by measuring bolt face to front of bolt & compare original to new. *Identical +/- .002”. Not enough difference to make a difference. -dump some hot wax in there and make a mold of each one to see if they’re the same *Good idea, Aaron, but I’ll pass. -put some JB Weld in there *Another great idea from Aaron. No, thanks. -test new bolt in old carrier *Same issue. -test old extractor in new bolt & carrier *Works! -compare extractors side by side *The failing extractor hook feels “sharper”. Maybe someday I’ll look into modifying the misshapen extractor. Honestly, that’s probably not going to happen. Final solution, I ordered a JP Enterprises enhanced extractor and I have full confidence it will work. Thanks for the help!
- Nick F – so I was in a local gun shop with a buddy last week. I came across thos aow shotgun pistols that hold like 4 rounds. what’s your opinion on them? is it something you wouldn’t mind under your driver’s seat during riot season?
- Schlongbeard Silver – Shawn what kind of holster, if any, are you using when you carry in your fanny pack, aka your second nut sack?
- DrSandyGuy – You mentioned Mitchell Defense’s sand cutter bolt carriers on a recent show (today’s show, actually, but you’ll read this in 3 months). Does the AR15 platform suffer from having a bolt that isn’t “fitted” to the chamber? I’ll gladly NOT use my polishing compound and 5.56 go/no go gauges if i can avoid it, Emergency repair during an extended firefight aside, would just swapping BCGs be likely to mess up your headspace and accuracy enough to worry about?
The winner of this week’s swag pack is DrSandyGuy!
