Going Ballistic
- Over the weekend, gun violence in Chicago resulted in 19 people shot, including 7 fatalities, under Mayor Johnson’s leadership. This incident may stir further debate around gun control measures, impacting the gun community’s stance on rights and regulations.
- Gun rights groups have expressed strong opposition to a recent ban on firearm possession for transgender individuals, labeling it as unconstitutional. This backlash highlights the ongoing tensions between gun control advocates and the gun community, with proponents of the Second Amendment arguing that such measures infringe on personal rights and freedoms.
- Wisconsin Democrats are pushing to eliminate campus carry laws, aiming to restrict students from carrying firearms for self-defense. This move has ignited strong opposition from gun rights advocates, who view it as an infringement on Second Amendment rights and a step away from personal safety on college campuses. The gun community sees this as another attempt by lawmakers to undermine their freedoms.
- A recent ATF report reveals that most guns recovered from crimes in Illinois originated from within the state, challenging the narrative that guns are primarily trafficked from outside sources. This data points to issues within local regulations and enforcement rather than supporting gun control measures aimed at addressing crime. As the gun community scrutinizes these findings, it highlights the argument for protecting Second Amendment rights and questions the effectiveness of strict gun control in curbing violence.
- The 7th Circuit Court upheld Illinois’ ban on concealed carry in public transit, leaving gun rights advocates frustrated as their ability to carry firearms in these areas remains restricted. This ruling is seen as a setback for those promoting Second Amendment rights.
Reviews
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – from Dr SpendyGuy – Listen to this show at your wallet’s peril. They talk about a lot of gear. They make fun of a lot, but say nice things about some of it. Now you know not to trust them at their word, because they’re clearly degenerates. But still, you heard the brand name, you started thinking deep in the part of your brain reserved for twisted fetishes and thinking about how much you like rainbow sprinkles on icecream. Then you’ll see the product somewhere. F- … the degenerates were right. You must buy it. You must buy the accessories too. You’re a poor now, but at least you’ll die with cool stuff.
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – from Not Fucking Bill – 5 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches..
This show is better than two hookers with the clap in a phone booth covered in butterscotch.
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – from Z – Been thinking about this review for a long time, finally taking the time to actually write it. Sorry in advance for the long read.
First off, I love the podcast and have been listening to every episode for over five years. You make my drive to work entertaining and informative.
With that said, being an East Coast guy(grew up in Maryland and living in West Virginia) I tend to agree with Jeremy most often. He is the only guy on the podcast that understands the eastern USA style of shooting and hunting. We normally can’t just go out on public land and start shooting; we have to go to designated shooting ranges that normally aren’t more than 100 yards long. As for hunting, Jeremy is again right about eastern hunting. I choose to go hunting in the woods, but could very easily just shoot a deer off of my front porch just about every day of the year, if I wanted to. The rest of the crew tends to argue with him about this when, at least on the East Coast, that is typically how things are.
Which brings me to my one thought on how to improve your podcast. While I know that you have said it will never happen, whenever John Patton is on the show, I feel that there is more of a balance between the East Coast guys and the western guys, and you get both points of view, making for a better discussion and overall podcast. I would love to see him become a regular on the show, even to the point of having him as a regular cast member. And while I know this will probably never happen, I can always dream.
Again, fantastic podcast, keep up the awesome job, and keep up the fight. I hope to be listening to you guys for years to come.
