The trend echoes the rise in self-defense gun ownership seen during the 1960s.

  • During a campaign speech to the American Federation of Teachers, Kamala Harris mocked those advocating for arming teachers in classrooms, labeling them as “extremists.” She criticized the idea, suggesting it undermines efforts to create safe learning environments. This stance contrasts with recommendations from the Parkland shooting commission, which supported armed teachers to prevent future school shootings.
• Ohio has dumb mayors
  • A state-level research unit will be established to support law enforcement, alongside state grants for technology and data-driven strategies. Gun owners will be reminded to report stolen guns, with penalties for non-compliance. Ohio law enforcement agencies will be incentivized to input recovered gun data into the eTrace system. Collaboration with state legislative leaders aims to amend laws to reduce gun violence and improve public safety, with an emphasis on protecting children.

  • Biden wants to gut the supreme court
    • Biden’s proposal for 18-year term limits on Supreme Court Justices aims to prevent multigenerational influence on the judiciary. However, it’s ironic given his own 36-year tenure in the Senate. The lifetime terms for justices were designed to keep them objective and above political pressures. Instead of creating faster turnover to allow for more frequent court overhauls, the focus should be on preserving the checks and balances intended to promote bipartisanship in judicial appointments. The Supreme Court’s role is to interpret laws, not act as a legislative body. Addressing the legislative branch’s dysfunction is crucial, as both parties now avoid collaboration, waiting for electoral advantages instead.
