• After communist takes over leadership in Brazil, he restricts the ability of citizens to purchase firearms. This comes as a surprise to no one.
  • Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made a new rule that makes it harder for people in Brazil to own guns. He lowered the number of guns civilians can have from four to two, and the amount of bullets from 200 to 50. Now, only police and military can have certain types of guns.
  • In the past, when fewer civilians in Brazil had guns, the police were feared more than criminals. There were reports of the police being very violent and harming a lot of people.
  • Some people in Brazil who want to own guns are now worried they’ll be seen as bad guys by the government and the media. At the same time, a top court in Brazil said that the previous President, Jair Bolsonaro, can’t run for any political office until 2030 because he was not truthful about the country’s voting system. People are concerned that Brazil is forgetting its history and may repeat its mistakes.
• ‘Outraged’ senior ‘news’ writer for The Trace is backed the fuck off after trying to claim they are not a propaganda outlet for gun control groups when both Trace and Everytown are run by THE EXACT SAME PERSON.
  • Both “The Trace” and “Everytown,” two groups promoting gun control, are run by the same person, John Feinblatt.
  • It was discovered through tax forms that Feinblatt is the president of both organizations, revealing their strong connection.
  • This means that both groups, even though they claim to be separate, are guided by the same leader who holds the same anti-gun views.
• Despite Bruen ruling, NY cuts down carry permit approvals by 56%. Thanks guys, can’t wait for your dumbasses to cause constitutional carry nationwide.
  • The NYPD approved fewer gun permits in 2022 compared to 2021, even after the Supreme Court ruled New York’s restrictive gun-carry law unconstitutional.
  • This suggests that the NYPD and New York officials continue to undermine the Supreme Court’s ruling and the Second Amendment rights of New Yorkers.
  • With only 21% of 7,260 gun permit applications approved in 2022, down from 56% in 2021, it seems that the rights of New Yorkers to legally arm themselves are being seriously impacted.
  • The fact that the NYPD has left the majority of 2022 applications neither approved nor denied could potentially leave them vulnerable to a civil-rights challenge.
• Illinois ‘assault weapon’ owners face ‘mandatory’ registration of their assault weapons. Weird that this would violate both 2a and 5a rights BUT I GUESS NONE OF THEM REALLY MATTER ANYMORE!
  • Gun owners in Illinois are facing challenges due to new gun laws that might violate both the 2nd and 5th Amendments. The laws require self-registration of newly “illegal” semi-automatic firearms and magazines.
  • This mandatory registration, with a deadline of January 1, 2024, is seen as forcing gun owners into self-incrimination, which contradicts the 5th Amendment’s protections.
  • Attorney Thomas Maag is working on a motion based on the 5th Amendment argument. He is aiming to protect gun owners from incriminating themselves by registering their now “illegal” guns and parts.
  • Maag is hopeful to get a preliminary injunction on the registry component of the law before it goes into effect in October. The final outcome of this legal challenge could have significant implications for gun owners in Illinois and potentially in other states.
• Attempted school shooting?
  • A man fired shots outside a school in Memphis, Tennessee, but couldn’t get in.
  • The police found the shooter, who was then critically injured in a confrontation.
  • The shooter is a former student of the school and investigations are ongoing.
• 5th Circuit Court of Appeals rules that Biden Brace Ban is ‘unlawful’.
