Talking Lead 423 – Stephen Hunter: “Targeted” a Bob Lee Swagger Novel

In this Talking Lead Podcast episode Pulitzer Prize Winner, Film Critic, Best Selling AuthorStephen Hunter joins Lefty and Brian to talk about his 12th Novel in the Bob Lee Swagger series, “Targeted”. We also have the pleasure to step outside of his writing career and discuss his love of firearms, his time as a movie critic (1982-2008) and what it takes to be successful.

Stephen has written more than 20 novels, thousands of articles and film critiques, and had his first Bob Lee Swagger novel, “Point Of Impact” (1993) made into a Hollywood blockbuster movie “Shooter” (2007) and TV series of the same name as the movie “Shooter” (2016). In 2003 Stephen received a Pulitzer Prize for his film criticism skills.

Stephen is a firearms enthusiast, well known for the level of firearms detail in his novels. He himself is a shooter, known for saying “many people don’t understand, shooting a firearm is a sensual pleasure that’s rewarding in and of itself.”
