- Depth gauge (dial indicator 0.001”
- Weighting the primers to select primers that have the same amount of compound for your load.
- Dial indicator to measure primer seating flush to 0.005” to 0.008”
- Why we want our primers seated below case head, and why 0.005” to 0.008” is ideal.
- Dangers of high primers, Hang fires, possible premature firing.
- Properly seated primer will give uniform ignition of the powder and allow firing pin to create uniform speed with each firing.
