- Car Scoops – Useless Frame Stud Can Cause Fire On Some Wranglers
- Recall is for about 58,000 Wranglers in the US
- Stud may come in contact with fuel tank in a crash
- There have been no customer assistance records, no warranty claims, and no field reports related to the issue
- Recall information will be sent out around May 12th
- If the frame stud is present, it will be removed and paint will be applied over the hole.
- Owners who have previously paid to have the issue fixed will be reimbursed.
- GM Authority – Silverado ZR2 Now Has A Diesel Option
- The 1500 ZR2 is now offered with a turbo diesel engine
- Previously only available with the NA 6.2L V8 L87 gas engine
- 3 liter inline six LZ0(zero) engine has 305hp at 3750 rpm and 495tq at 2750 rpm
- Will be paired with a ten speed automatic
- Making a Comparison to the previous ZR2 6.2 liter powerplant that had 420hp at 5600 rpm and 460tq at 4100 rpm
- Other offerings will be a 6.2L V8,a 5.3L V8 and 2.7L turbo 4 cylinder.
