- Jalopnik – Ford stops taking Maverick orders
- The demand for the Maverick is higher than Ford can produce them
- Orders are closed until mid 2022
- Some inventory will trickle into dealers still
- The Maverick’s $20,000 starting price has made them very appealing to new car shoppers
- Chip shortages are keeping Ford from being able to produce Mavericks at a normal rate

- Autoblog – Broncos stack up in holding lots (show video w/o sound)
- Ford openly says that a lack of chips are holding up production
- Ford also says that they are keeping their customers informed
- Customers say that they aren’t getting answers
