Titan Swapping usually refers to components of the front suspension from a 1st gen Nissan Titan(2003-2015) swapped into an Xterra(2005-2015), Frontier(2005-2021), or Pathfinder(2005-2012).
Reason for the swap:
- Wider stance by 3” per side
- More lift
- Longer travel suspension
- Ability to use heavier duty components
- Brakes
- Diff
- Locker available
- Axles
Parts needed:
- Titan upper control arms
- Factory or aftermarket
- Titan lower control arms
- Factory or aftermarket
- Titan inner & outer tie rods
- Extended brake lines
- Camber bolts
- Custom coilovers
- Radflow
- Gen 1 Tundra
- Aftermarket bump stops
- Either Custom/hybrid axles or Titan Front diff with Titan axles
Optional parts:
- Titan front spindles & brakes (This requires 18” wheels)
- Front locker with Titan diff
- Gears
- 3” Rear wheel spacers to match for front width
- 1.5-2” gives better turn in
- Whole titan rear axle
- Custom fab required
