How did you get started in off roading?  

What was the first vehicle you took off road?

What do you drive now?  How Tell us the history of how you got it.

The original owner was Firestone Tires. They used it as their flagship vehicle for their mud tire. They partnered with C4 Fabrication to build the 4Runner. C4 Fabrication then bought it from and used it for RnD and advertising for their products.

Here are some commercials it appeared in.

We were looking at building out our 3rd Gen 4Runner or 1st Gen Tundra to a more capable off-road camping vehicle. We almost bought a fully built diesel swapped 60 Series Landcruiser but decided we wanted modern technology and safety. We instead fell in love with the 5th Gen 4Runners. Instead of buying a stock one and paying to build it the way we wanted to. We shopped for an already-built rig. I posted in a 4Runner club on Facebook “Does anyone know of any fully built 4Runners for sale?” Literally everyone did all the work for me with over 60 replies in under a day. One of them was C4 Fabrication’s ad and the rest is history. Well there’s more to the story but I’ll leave that for the podcast.
