Welcome to the off-road podcast. A podcast about everything off-road. We cover the news, review products, and interview people in the off road industry.  I’m your host Ben and I’m here with my co-hosts Aaron & Jeremy.  How’s everyone doing?

Jeremy – Changed engine oil, rear diff fluid and air filter.  Did a lot of planning.  Went to Tahuya for a little offroading

Aaron – Went camping, made me want to never go again. Need to sell the LMTV to fund the next stage of the Frontier.  Had the same issue I had a few years ago where the truck goes into limp mode when the tranny gets too hot.

Ben – one step closer to 35s

BEN

i love ditches and getting stuck in them I one day hope to finally drive along the Lolo trail my unicorn trail I grew up exploring all of Western Washington and camping on dirt roads and hiking trails riding in the back of a 70something jeep truck rode or around in my dad’s dune buggy and dirt bikes and had a track in my backyard did lots of exploring as a boy scout as an adult I still enjoy the outdoors including helping locating the lost through my local search and rescue 4×4 team. after getting married I bought a 2008 2dr jk and re entered my love of the woods hydrolocked a few months after getting it replaced engine and began modding it lift sliders snorkel from a fear of water and a roof rack that I never put anything on..had to many babies and traded my love for a minivan and proceeded to buy a replacement project rig… 81 jeep wagoneer spent a ton of time and money and traded it for the disposable hero and discovered how disposable they truly are… decided to spend the money upfront on a vehicle did tons of research on what I wanted and what would work for a family of 5 and decided to try a new brand of vehicle and found a solid deal on a woodland camouflage 2006 Toyota 4Runner took it for a test drive and fell in love started with collecting lots of parts then installing a handful of mods at one time first a budget lift raptor lined it baby crap yellow tossed on a maltby fab roof rack that I put lights for search and rescue and an awning to go with it xo fab sliders a nwti bumper with a warn winch with 32.5 tires on newer Toyota wheels with Colby valves ditch lights Taco tabs and total chaos gusset alignments tabs and jlb upper control arms… the future brings finishing my skid plates & 35s but before then I want rear tire carrier steel wheels with a better offset and body mount chop need to get gas tank skid maybe control arm skids better front struts for a true 3 inch front lift and a drawer system in the back to organize all the junk in my trunk.. including a safe spot to store my power tank.

AARON

Grew up camping in Oregon outside of Bend & Mt. Hood.  Got my 1st dirtbike when I was 14.  It was a Honda 4 stroke 125.  A year later I had graduated to a Suzuki 4 stroke 250 and rode that all through highschool.  My highschool was very rural & I was able to ride in the forest after school whenever I wanted if I had gas money.  Continued camping after highschool and when I got married but didn’t have a wheeler.  Just used whatever rig I owned at the time.  Sometimes it was a Ford Escort wagon other times it was a Turbo Subaru Outback wagon.  At some point I needed a pick up for doing house work since we were remodeling.  Chose the Frontier because I got more rig for the $ compared to the Tacoma.  I didn’t want a full sized truck.  2 years later traded it in for a newer version of the same rig.  That’s when the mods started.  Bought a winch but didn’t have a winch bumper for 18 months, lift, 33” BFG KM2s, lift again, CB radio, semi DIY rock sliders, CVT RTT, used skid plates, custom rear bumper, traded the hard rolling tonneau cover for a canopy, DIY roof rack, HID roof lights, ARB compressor, custom off road trailer, fan for factory tranny cooler, interior  32” BFG KO2s, LED bumper lights, console vault, KM3s, Bed drawers. Future brings Titan swap suspension & drivetrain, 35s & the rest of my skid plates.  I also own an M1078 LMTV with a factory winch.  Had it for 3 years.  Have taken it to OHV parks 3 times, deep snow wheeling once, and several other trips.  I’ve also used it to haul some heavy loads & winch some fun stuff on the farm.  I’ve also gotten it REALLY stuck 3 times on the farm.  All 3 times the Nissan with its Warn winch have gotten it out.  Only changes to the LMTV have been replacing all the tires, putting in 2 jumps seats for the kids, & LED headlights from Olympus Off road.  Future plans for it are to sell it to fund the Frontier upgrades & buy a full sized truck for farm duties.

JEREMY

Grew up in a navy family moving all over.  Didn’t do much camping or outdoors stuff until High school.  Started fly fishing in High school and offroading was just a way to get to some good fly fishing spots.  Started to do it just for the sake of offroading and exploring.  During college in Idaho I developed a love for camping and hunting.  Offroading was always just to get to the best camp and hunting locations. First had a dodge dakota, changed out to a tacoma, then F150, then back to my supercharged tacoma.  Began to wheel the harder stuff when I got my 2nd Tacoma.  Built the tacoma up into an awesome overland rig complete with a roof top tent. Got on the show when I invited myself on the trip for WABDR.  Traded in the Overland Taco for AEV Hemi Jeep on 35s.  Added full skids, new radio with reverse and forward camera, Warn Zeon Platinum winch, Poison spyder sliders. Additionally,  you can find me in the woods on my KTM 450 EXC.
