Welcome back to another episode of Let’s Go Hunt! – The preferred hunting and outdoors podcast of former President Chester Alan Arthur. As stipulated under contract we have:

Personal Gear Chat and Updates:

Mike 

• Shout out to Shane and Luke at Eleven Mile.  Showed me a cool crawfish washer and gave me a bit of advice on crawfishin. 
• Took the kiddo to 11 mile with my dad and stepmom, two night camping instead of one.
• Had fantastic steaks with salad, etc for dinner.  ‘
• Bugs made friends all over, but camp was too close quarters for me.  Everyone was still very respectful.
• Awning report:  It was awesome!  If I’m being honest, I MILDLY regret the 4.6 foot.  The extra 1.4 feet would have been a little useful in not moving the chairs around so much, but it was glorious.

• Leftover tags on sale last week (8/6) here in CO. I managed to bag two bear tags, one for September and the second for October. Both rifle tags. Got both tags in the mail today.
• Sep tag is for the same area as last year, time for some payback you stupid cows!
• Second tag is for a different area, which I checked out on OnX and truth be told it doesn’t look as promising as the first area, so we shall see where I dedicate my time.

• Went out catfishing on Lake Texoma
• Method: bait a hole, bait a hook: profit
• Rain, rain, go away
• How about that bite? Differences between striper and catfish
• What all we caught and how the kids handled it
• Nephew John’s new ability
• What next?

• I got out and shot my rifle with the Guardian 1-10 sfp lpvo from Gideon Optics. The range session was a total bust because it was ungodly hot and I couldn’t test precision because I was compromised.  I was also having function issues with my rifle because the gas block came loose.

• Hiking with the wife at Beavers Bend State Park for her birthday, Airbnb, mini golf in Hochatown, Lower Mountain Fork River, Broken Bow Lake  
• Covered 1300feet of elevation on a 4 mile hike
• Plenty of smaller wildlife, but very hot out, no big game around
• Spider attacks

•  I found a magical box
• VDSM

• Good place to bring up any news and legal updates surrounding hunting?
