Main Topic:  Conceal Carry – Then & Now

Mindset: Then Vs Now

Remember back to before we carried – Our preconceived notions, etc…

Zack: There weren’t a plethora of single stack carry guns back then. The LCP was newish, and snub revolvers were popular. I took a CCW class when I lived in Utah, but I qualified with a Makarov and a Walther P22, how things have changed.

Jake:

Used to listen to the Gun Dudes and dream about one day moving to a free state and being able to carry, because at that point, IL had ZERO hope for carry

Carry Setups: Then Vs Now

Zack:

Guns & Holster: Daily is a Glock 43 in a Bravo Concealment holster. I also swab between a PJ Holster.

When I lose a bunch of weight I want to carry either P10s or P10c appendix.

Jake:

Guns & Holster:

Precarry license I actually mocked up a few setups, SCCY 9mm… in Alien Gear… Walther P22 in Crossbreed

Carry: Springfield XDS 4” 45ACP… in Alien Gear, then Stealth Gear…

Dress & Attire.. Then Verses Now

Zack

Jake

  • Belt: Crossbreed double thick leather belt, Tactical Belt, Click-slide belt and back to Crossbreed.
  • Dress: Always wore undershirt… to no undershirt in warm months… Always button down short and long sleeves, rarely wear a t-shirt as an outer when carrying.

Safes Then Vs Now

Zack: Before, just a Sentry gun locker, now a full IronMan Safe
Jake:

Barska Fingerprint safe

Routines Then Vs Now
Zack: Don’t carry as much as I should, always have a gun with me at the office and carry pistol in car. Use the Hornady safe.

Jake:

First could/would mainly carry on the weekends since I worked at the Post Office

Now Carry everyday, even though I literally live in the middle of nowhere
