Doug:

God: Sportsman Daily devotional. Church on Sunday

Guns: EDC Been doing some hunting. Got a good doe last weekend. Finally had to shoot one to get some meat in the freezer. Also had a trip to South Dakota pheasant hunting. We got our limits for 9 guys 2 days in a row. Had a great time. Today my buddy gave me a 6.5 Grendal upper with the BCG. Just have to put a lower on it now. Probably going with a PSA lower for it. Currently has a quad rail on it and I hate them so going to swap it out with a new light weight rail. But for free, can’t go wrong. I have an ATN 4K Pro I am going to put on it.

Troy:

God: Daily Bible Reading, Church, Church Security. 

Guns: EDC, ordered a 300 BO 9” Pistol on Black Friday, 

Farm: Garage done, All Crops in, cattle doing great taking a beef to butcher Jan 3rd, 

Ham: Ham Net Control now on the CKARC Monday night 2M Net, putting in a tower got the base in the ground, conduit is buried, need to put ground rod/loop in.

Comedy
A funeral service is being held in a chuch for a woman who has just passed away. At the end of the service, the pallbearers carrying the casket accidentally bump into a wall jarring the casket. They hear a faint moan. They open the casket and find that the women is actually alive. She lives for 10 more years and then dies. A ceremony is again held at the same church and at the end the pallbearers are again carrying the casket out. As they are walking, the husband calls out, “Watch out for the wall!”

On this day in History:
1918 Kingdom of Iceland established
The Kingdom of Iceland was established with the signing of the Act of Union with Denmark. The act recognized Iceland as a sovereign state under a common monarch with Denmark, and the Kingdom lasted until 1944 when a national referendum created the Republic of Iceland.

Armed Citizen
The tenant in a rented Nevada house was forced to defend his life from a late-night intruder on Oct. 11, 2023, killing the suspect in the process in an incident police are confirming is a case of self-defense.

The suspect was allegedly dressed in dark clothes, wearing black leather gloves and made several attempts to break through the door of the home. The tenant armed himself and, when he found the intruder, had “seconds to act.” The resident fired a number of shots at the intruder, killing him in the process.

The owner of the rental house indicated that the deceased suspect was another tenant he had been trying to evict for months. He alleged that the break-in might have been possible revenge for the eviction, but police said they still aren’t sure of the motive behind the burglary. (News4; Verdi, Nev.; 10/11/23)
