God: Sportsman Daily devotional. 

Guns: EDC Buddy Rick came down this weekend. We got to do a little hog hunting. Rick got in later Friday night that we expected. So we got up early Saturday morning and headed out. Hunt took about 15 minutes. I had him on camera and patterned. Good hunt. Not much else going on. 

Troy:

God: Daily Bible Reading, Church, our grandson Brayden is being baptized tomorrow. 

Guns: EDC, Got two new holsters from Crossbreed yesterday

Farm: Shop building Corn, cattle doing great, third cutting of alfalfa was really good. mow

A husband fell ill with some very serious symptoms. His wife took him to the doctor who examined him and ran a complete battery of tests. He told the man to get dressed and step outside. After the husband was gone, the wife said, “Give it to me straight doc. What’s wrong with my husband?”

“Well, your husband is going to die unless you take some special measures for him.”

“Of course doctor, I will do anything to help my husband.”

“Then this is what you must do. First of all, you must not allow him to have any stress whatsoever. You must make him three healthy meals a day, do whatever he asks you to do, smother him with kisses all the time and tell him how much you love him, spoil him rotten, and wait on him hand and foot, and then your husband will live.”

On the way home the husband asked his wife, “Well honey, what did the doctor say? Am I going to get well?”

On this day in History:
On August 10, 1977, 24-year-old postal employee David Berkowitz was arrested and charged with being the “Son of Sam,” the serial killer who terrorized New York City for more than a year, killing six young people and wounding seven others with a .44-caliber revolver. Because Berkowitz generally targeted attractive young women with long brown hair, hundreds of young women had their hair cut short and dyed blonde during the time he terrorized the city. Thousands more simply stayed home at night.

Armed Citizen
An alleged burglar was hospitalized in Pinson, Ala., after encountering an armed homeowner on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Late that afternoon, the suspect allegedly attempted to break into a house when he encountered the armed homeowner. The resident fired a shot that struck the burglar, who fled the property.

Officers responded to the scene and were able to locate the suspect, who was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening wounds. The homeowner suffered no injuries during the incident. (CBS42; Pinson, Ala.; 6/15/23)
